Tell us how he/she is making a difference:
Beth is the full package: an experienced, expert teacher, a mentor/coach to her colleagues and new teachers, and campus leader able to work collaboratively with all staff members. Beth leads by modeling responsive and effective teaching with her 3 and 4 year old students. It is rare that we come across a student who she is not able to reach and make solid progress with. Beth is a gift to our faculty and to her PK team. She is a gentle and supportive leader who has been able to clearly development a vision for our PK program and execute this over the course of the last 7 years. As a member of my leadership team, she collaborates with others across the grade levels, consistently making meaningful contributions no matter what the issue or focus of our work together. Beth is truly an irreplaceable teacher and leader!

About the Nominee

Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
In addition teaching her own class, mentoring new PK teachers and acting as our PK program director, Beth works students who need extra support in one on one and small groups in her classroom when she is not teaching. This allows students who are struggling in some way to receive the attention they need to continue to grow and for those students who are demonstrating early growth, she offers enrichment to keep them engaged and moving forward. Beth often pushes in to classes to support a teacher with a particular student, modeling in the class how to work with this child. In fact, Beth does this for our Kindergarten classes as needed as well. She is always willing to work with a child in need of support and is often successful with our most challenging children.
