About the Nominee

Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
Jesse is not only a committed and highly skilled educator but a courageous one who does not waver in his challenge of the neo education reformers. It has been an honor to work with him on the MAP test boycott started at Garfield High School. Through his leadership and ability to articulate the real issues facing education today, not those fabricated by the corporate powers and their interests, he has helped forge the movement of truth that is so desperately needed in this country. I hope all will join with me in support of Jesse's nomination for this award. Without a doubt he deserves this recognition.
