Andrea is a an extremely valuable School Nurse Professional. She has been a nurse for 39 years and it has been my pleasure to work closely with her in her current role as Assistant Director of Health Services for Capitol Region Education Council (CREC)in CT. She helps oversee training and continuing education of the nursing staff and is a valuable resource for purchasing of needed health and wellness products thru both nurse offices and health centers that are available thru the CREC organization. She is also a Certified Nurse Aid Class and Clinical Instructor for Manchester Community College-Allied Health Program. In addition, she teaches CPR Certification to teachers, parents, student and various staff. She is an extremely committed individual who continues to stay in front of Health issues including obesity prevention education and EMS for Children. She is widely available for support to the various nurses in the CREC Organization is always responsive in her professional role as well. I believe she is a wonderful candidate for a Bammy Award and I am pleased to submit her nomination.
