She was a 2012 NAEYC Conference Presenter- Co-presented with Authors Charlotte Stetson, Judy Jablon, and Amy Dombro of Powerful Interactions, How to Connect With Children to Extend their Learning. While presenting she shared her personal experiences of receiving classroom coaching and videotaping interactions with children to reflect on her own teaching practice and intentionality of each interaction.
Nancy served as a school to community liaison where she lead meetings and provided workshop opportunities for a community of child care providers. Through ongoing communication between home- based and school-based programs it encouraged all to share their experiences in working with children, provide support for challenging issues, and participate in new learning together.
She is currently studying to obtain her Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Education from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.
Nancy has provided high quality education and care to the students she has worked with. She not only works with students, but believes that the education process starts with the family where she has worked diligently to emphasize the importance of teacher parent cooperation.
