Sandra is executive director of the largest state affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. With over 6,000 members, Sandra is kept plenty busy. But I'm most impressed with her knowledge, and with what she's accomplished since becoming executive director. This includes achieving more productive and streamlined governance through wholesale revision of Association bylaws, policies and procedures, collaborating to revamp educational programs increasing quality member education and engagement at reduced cost, achieving over 1,000% increase in non-dues revenue compared to prior year through new partnerships with program providers, retaining state funding for critical child care programs due collaborative advocacy work, increasing membership renewals through establishment of new dynamic member communication materials, and supporting over 30 local and regional chapters including creation of affiliate FYI€ e-newsletter to assist chapter leaders with governance, compliance and member engagement.
