Tell us how he/she is making a difference:
Robin is making a difference by being the first educator ever to lead an asynchronous, virtual classroom for blind and visually impaired students. Her students, who otherwise struggle in mainstream classes, get a quality education tailored for their accessibility needs. Because Robin uses web conferencing technology, she can reach any student in the world as long as they have an internet connection and a device running Microsoft Lync.

About the Nominee

Brief Comments - What other facts should we know? ( MAX 500 characters)
Robin has brought new meaning to distance learning. She is truly an innovator, but what sets her apart from so many is her compassion for those who must learn differently from the traditional student. Raising expectations and giving students the tools to reach those expectations should be recognized and celebrated!

Robin's students are succeeding, and going on to college/university, which is sadly rare for blind and visually impaired students. She is making a tremendous impact.
