Nicholas Provenzano is a creative, high energy, high school English teacher and edublogger, who hosts a radio show on student engagement called "Hooked!" Anyone listening can quickly tell that Nicholas brings extraordinary passion to the field and is masterful at connecting with students. His show is among the most highly rated and his wit and sense of humor are infectious. If creativity and play mixed with passion and knowledge are the core competencies for the 21st Century, Nicholas is a role model for us all.

Nick Provenzano exemplifies what is great about today's teachers. He is a daily risk-taker on behalf of kids at his school and as well as schools around the world. I've learned a great deal from his generous sharing, thought-provoking ideas and friendship. Nick would be a great fit to anyone's staff if we're looking to create open learning 24/7 365. I'm appreciative of his body of work for the benefit of our field.

I feel so lucky to be a teacher in Michigan with Nick. He's been such a wonderful friend and mentor. The work he shares through his blog, Twitter, and conferences has been able to benefit thousands of teachers worldwide. He's certainly deserving of this honor.

Although I have never worked with Nicolas Provenzano directly, he has helped my understanding of twitter and Evernote like no other. Technology is a big part of our teaching here in South Korea. Nicholas has done a tremendous to help me and my students understand more about that technology. I look forward to working with him in the future!

Nick is so much more than just a HS English teacher. He creatively uses technology to enhance his lessons. These tools encourage his students to collaborate and expand their thinking. He does the same thing for colleagues. I am so proud to work with him on edCampDetroit.

I first found Nick's blog when I heard about Evernote through another teacher. That led me to his book on using Evernote, a vital source for me this year, his session on student blogs at MACUL 2013, and following him on Twitter. I don't know what I would have done this year without Nick's advice. I even got my head of maintenance to get me some Ideapaint for the tables in my room, just like Nick's! Nick is not just an innovative teacher--he's helping the rest of us along as well.
