Linda Edwards is a strong supporter of public education, teaching in the urban Metro Nashville School School District. She is a kindergarten teacher at Julia Green Elementary School. She has studied widely, reading research and investigating applications to her classroom and attending early literacy conferences in New Zealand (where she studied with literacy leaders that are influencing early literacy instruction world wide). She is an advocate for all students, she mentors other teachers and Vanderbilt University students who are preparing to be teachers, she collaborates with parents and the community, and she is an excellent teachers of young children.. starting them on pathways to succeed in school, with peers, and in life.
