The 30 day countdown to the Bammy Awards has officially started, (sort of feels like Christmas) and we are thrilled to tell you that a stellar cadre of educators will be hitting the red carpet this year to celebrate all that’s right in American education.

Recently added to the eclectic list of presenters is Rhian Evans Allvin, the new executive director of NAEYC; ISTE chief Brian Lewis, Thomas Murray and Susan Bearden, two of the co-founders of the popular Twitter chat #Edtechchat; Andrew Ko, CEO of Microsoft Education; Chris Emdin, founder of #HiphopEd, and a surprise special guest. To ensure that the evening will be both meaningful and a lot of fun, we’ve engaged some talented entertainers who promise to make sure that the event will not be mistaken for your grandfather’s graduation.

The limousines have been booked, the red carpet has been ordered and based on the emails we’re getting, it is pretty safe to say that you won’t see educators celebrating or celebrated like this anywhere else.

We’ll be making several exciting announcements over the next few weeks and you can follow them all right here on the Bammy Awards blog or on Twitter at #Bammyawards.
