What people are saying...
“I know that all of us can agree that great teachers have an amazing power to transform the lives of children every single day. But we also know these dedicated professionals can’t do it alone. They need the support of administrators, of parents, of community leaders and of the educators and para-professionals they teach alongside of in their buildings every single day.”
U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan

What is amazing about Edcamp is the grassroots nature of the movement and the diversity that each event exhibits. These participant-led unconferences are putting teachers back in charge of their own learning and empowering them as professionals to collaborate with their peers and push the envelope.

Kristen is an amazing resource for Philadelphia educators. She live tweets from SRC meetings and she is in touch with what is going on in Philadelphia schools. Her articles are balanced and fair, and they touch on important and sometimes controversial issues. This past year, Kristen and her team won a Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for their reporting on school violence in Philadelphia.
