I am Executive Director of the North Carolina School Boards Association, and I've had the privilege of knowing Linda since becoming a school board member. Linda Cranford has been a member of her local board of education for 29 years. During that time, she has served as both vice chair and chair as well as a member of countless committees. She also gives her time to the United Way as well as a local organization that provides college loans and scholarships to local high school graduates. In addition, she is a member of the Board of Directors for both the North Carolina and National School Boards Associations. Linda consistently donates her time and energy to organizations whose goals are to better the educational opportunities of students in her local school system as well as those across the state and nation.
