About the NomineeComments - NOTE: You and your comment may be selected for the awards presentation. What would you say briefly? Maurna is such an inspiration to so many children and their parents. She lights up when she talks about her students. She gets so excited when she shares all the special things she has planned for the kids in her classroom. She puts her ALL into everything she does when it comes to teaching them. I am so proud of my little sister and all the amazing accomplishments she has made in her teaching career. She is the absolute best role model her students need in becoming a teacher themselves.

About the NomineeComments - NOTE: You and your comment may be selected for the awards presentation. What would you say briefly? Maurna saved my daughter. She cared enough for a struggling reader that she never gave up on her. Maurna was the first person to recognize the dyslexic tendencies in my daughter. This was the defining moment in my daughters life! Without Maurna's insight and love for her, she wouldn't be the successful, confident, honors, college bound student she is today. Most importantly, Maurna is a roll model for her and she plans on becoming a school psychologist in order to help other students the way Maurna helped her. I have never met a more loving, caring, and determined teacher that is always striving to improve classroom strategies more than Maurna. |
