After recently earning my National Board Teaching Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Literature, I have continued to reflect on my 11 year career currently involving myself in matters larger than the classroom. This year I joined Educators4Excellence and became a school captain and spend other time working for JEA (Journalism Education Association). My life has been committed to making students college bound with consistent high expectations and rigorous curricula. Not only am I dedicated to the students, but my colleagues as well.
