It's been an honor to work with Patty these past few years. Her enthusiasm, expertise and genuine fondness for her students are evident every day in her classroom. Patty collaborates with colleagues on a regular basis, always striving to provide her students with the best possible learning experience. She has successfully removed the traditional borders of her classroom and created educational opportunities that will prepare her students for college and beyond. I'm always excited to hear what Patty has next on her agenda. She has embraced technology as an integral part of her classroom, and is always willing to experiment with new methods and tools to increase the effectiveness of her teaching. Always a professional, Patty holds high expectations for her students, and challenges them every day to live up to those standards. In addition to being an incredible educator, she is an inspiration to her peers and a pleasure to work with.

Patty is one of those teachers you want in your district. I am not surprised she was nominated for this award. She exposes the students to the business world in a way that allows them individual creativity, an opportunity to exhibit teamwork, follow time management and demonstrate leadership. These skills will serve them well in their future endeavors.
The Apprentice project has taken on a new life in the school. It is wonderful to see students dressed like professionals, walking with confidence and beaming after winning in the board room!

I was fortunate to be one of the CEO's who volunteered to work with Patty's kids this year. Her vision, and enthusiasm made the program a huge success for all involved. I am thrilled that there are teachers like Patty that are creating and providing educational opportunities that support and encourage our kids to be independent, strategic thinkers.

Some teachers talk about making their classroom real world, but Patricia does it. Her apprentice project connecting students with mentors is a wonderful experience for her students. Her commitment to her students is a model for others.

I got to know Patty last summer at the US Partners in Learning Forum. Since that time, we have continued to keep in contact and I have watched her amazing work with her students. She is passionate about her classes and I have seen outcomes that go beyond the students and impact the greater community. I am so honored to know Patty and am inspired by all that she does.
