Island Dolphin Care
Island Dolphin Care New HotAbout NomineeName of Nominee: Nominees' website: Nominee's Organization Island Dolphin Care Nominators affiliation to nominee: employee Reason for Nominating: Island Dolphin Care is a unique and cohesive therapeutic program that combines swimming with dolphins and creative projects in the classroom for children with special needs and their families. During the 5-day program, the therapists work with the children 1:1 in both the classroom and the water with Bottlenose dolphins. Each program is modified depending on the needs and goals for each child. One of the neatest things about the program is that we focus on the strengths of the children and what the children CAN do, not their limitations or what they can not do. We provide hope for our families! In addition, we provide respite and joy to wounded veterans from all over the country during our 1-day camps. This is a REALLY great motivational recreation program located in the sunny Florida Keys! Community votes and reviewsView all community reviewsAverage community rating from: 24 user(s)
