Elisa Pener has been the health coordinator/school nurse at HBHA for over 15 years. She is dedicated to assisting children and their parents with everything from simple playground scrapes to serious health needs. She is thorough in the use of her medical training and an asset to our school in a time when many schools are cutting this position. Our school is connected to the Jewish Community Campus. Elisa not only cares for our children and families, but also cares for seniors at the senior center and prekindergarten children at the campus preschool. Nursing is not Elisa's only passion. Elisa graduated from HBHA herself and all 3 of her children graduated from HBHA. She is a strong advocate for the school and all it offers our community. In order to spread the word about our wonderful school, she has been sharing photos and making videos for perspective and current parents as well as people in the Kansas City Jewish Community. She has played a huge role in our school's development of social media for recruitment and retention of students. Her work helping students and parents learn about good health, as a nurse and tireless work as an advocate for our school makes her an asset to the community and an exceptional contributor to the field of education!
