What people are saying...
"The Bammys do what all of us should: acknowledge teachers and great practice. Awards tell us, the educators, who the leaders are in our profession. They are the signpost that says, "These are the models, and we have much to learn from them." In addition, these awards say to the public, "There are those in our midst worth appreciating, worth admiring, and worth respecting." The Bammys so that and more. They acknowledge the difficulty of a challenging profession and those who excel at it, making it their own."

About the Nominee
Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
I have known Dr. Joan Hanor for many years both professionally and personally. Students want to take her courses. Conference Planners want her to present. Fellow faculty members want to ask her advice.
She is someone I like to work with and I am glad I know.

About the Nominee
Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
I was a new pre-school director and the "new kid on the block." Whenever I had a question, I was advised by other directors, "Ask Jo-Ann." She not only wants the best for "her" kids, but wants to help other directors so "their" kids can get the best education possible, too. She is a leader of leaders.
