What people are saying...
"The Bammys do what all of us should: acknowledge teachers and great practice. Awards tell us, the educators, who the leaders are in our profession. They are the signpost that says, "These are the models, and we have much to learn from them." In addition, these awards say to the public, "There are those in our midst worth appreciating, worth admiring, and worth respecting." The Bammys so that and more. They acknowledge the difficulty of a challenging profession and those who excel at it, making it their own."

About the Nominee
Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
Phil Hossler embodies everything the Bammy Award stands for. He has dedicated his life and career to improving sports safety, and injury prevention at East Brunswick High School. Phil Hossler is an educator. He strives to educate his athletes, their parents, and coaches. He is well-respected by his peers and is looked up to by young athletic trainers all over the country. Phil's athletic training student program does not only teach its students lessons of anatomy, and injury assessment and management, but instills life lessons of responsibility, accountability, and allows for personal growth.
Without question, Mr. Hossler’s mentorship and teaching helped to prepare me for a career in the National Football League, as is the case for many other healthcare professionals around the country. His dedication to his student athletics and their safety is unmatched. For the reasons mentioned above, I take great pride in recommending Mr. Phil Hossler for consideration for the 2012 Bammy Award.
