If a person is truly known for their work, then John Fensterwald is a super star. I have never met him, but read his work regularly and enjoy his insights and commentary. His goal is not for self fame- but to provide accurate information and analysis. His work speaks volumes about his profesionalism and passion for public education and sound public policy.

County offices of education in California, have fiscal oversight of the school districts in their county as well as provide specialized services and programs. OCDE is a model in the state of a well run, efficent and effective organization.
