What people are saying...
"I know it does, indeed, take the entire village to raise a child. When the entire community is engaged as the educational community, amazing learning and student achievement takes place. In a time when American education is constantly under fire, recognizing excellence is critical. We need to embrace every opportunity we have to inform the public sentiment about what is good in education today. Abraham Lincoln said, “ Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed.” I am sure the Academy of Arts and Sciences, with cross-discipline recognition of excellence in the Bammy Awards, will be informing the public sentiment."
Ken Griffith President of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP)

It goes without saying that school budgets have been constricted, yet, we are lucky enough to find individuals who always go the extra mile and do not take "no" as a final outcome for things which means so much.
Cherie has found a way to accomplish her goal by securing grant funds to put 19 AED's into the Marion County Schools in WV. I hope that each parent and staff member is as proud to have her on their staff as I am to know her. She deserves to be recognized for her efforts in keeping the Marion County students and staff safe.
I am honored to work with such a dedicated member of their staff.

In a time when the economy is restricting budgets to schools, Mr. Sakiewicz is a true diamond in the rough to our children. He has been a huge part of the success for the Students at South Elgin.
I am honored to have been lucky enough to have two children that have been taken under his wing. One child that struggles with school and needed a nudge to find his way, the other an honor student that is shy and needed some support in "getting involved". Both have been successful under the guidance of Mr. Michael Sakiewicz and wish that all students could benefit from someone like him in their child's lives.
