Alvin's band has been nationally televised and has had feature performances and appearances on stations such as CBS, SunSports, the NFL Network, and WGN Chicago where their performance in the McDonalds Thanksgiving Parade was televised to over 75 Million homes nation wide. They have been invited and have performed for events and teams such as the Miami Dolphins, Spirit Airlines, the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl, and most recently featured in two Broadway musicals.

The Concert and Marching Programs receive consistent Superior and Excellent ratings at the District and State Music Performance Assessments sponsored by the Florida Bandmasters Association. The Miramar "Soldier Band From Patriot Land" is the traditional high school band of choice for professional teams, corporate engagements, and community events.

Nate was named a 2010 Eastern District Teacher of the Year by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, but he deserves much more recognition. His focus on fitness and the use of technology in physical education make him a cut above.

An active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), Peggy seeks out new ideas and current research to apply to her teaching and presents workshops for early childhood teachers. Hands-on materials and discussion of inquiry support teachers who want to do science in their classrooms, learning alongside the students. She writes "The Early Years" column for Science and Children, the NSTA’s elementary school journal, and contributes to the NSTA’s "Early Years" blog. Peggy’s book of science activities, Science is Simple: Over 250 Activities for Preschoolers, was published by Gryphon House in 2003.

Cindy has a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Maine. Before staying at home to raise her three daughters, she taught second grade and kindergarten for several years. She has been with Valley Drive for 28 years, first as a cooperative parent, then as curriculum director, and now as director.

Carla Hannaford, Ph.D., biologist, author, educator with more than forty years teaching experience, including two years teaching high school, twenty plus years as a professor of biology, four years as a counselor for elementary and intermediate school children with learning difficulties and over twenty years as an international consultant to more than fourty countries, doing workshops and keynote presentations.
She was selected as a guest educator with the AHP- Soviet Project in 1988, has been recognized by Who's Who in American Education, has received awards from the University of Hawaii and the American Association for the Advancement of Scienc, has in-serviced schools throughout the U.S. and in 2006 was a distinguished lecturer for the National Association for Elementary School Principals.

He writes an ongoing column for the Public School Montessorian and contributes his opinions and ideas to a wide range of publications. His speaking engagements and presentations focus on the future of early childhood education, changing roles of early childhood teachers, the influence of contemporary educational reforms, research and legislation on teaching and learning.
