Dorothy's star shines brightly among all nominees. Her love for the well being of the children and their parents is what makes her so special. She has a keen since of leadership, noting that to be a great leader you must first be a great listern and secondly be able to serve others. She believes in her staff and that is what makes them such a success. Her humbleness has made it possible for her to complish all that she has done for the YMCA as well as other children organizations. She is quick to say, she could not have done anything with out her staff and the other members of the YMCA child care departments.

I have been blessed to work with her and watch as she took the North Lawndale site and turn it into the success it is today.
