Brief Comments - What other facts should we know about your nominee?
Christopher R. Bugaj, MA CCC-SLP is a a founding member the Assistive Technology Team for Loudoun County Public Schools. Chris is the host of the A.T.TIPSCAST podcast featuring tools and strategies that can be used to differentiate the learning experience. The podcast has won the “Busy Educator Award” in 2011 and “Best Professional Development Podcast” award from The Teacher’s Podcast in 2008. The podcast has been nominated for the “Best Educational Podcast” award for the 2010 Edublog Awards and “Best Educational Use of Audio” award for the 2009 Edublog Awards. Chris is the co-author of The Practical (and Fun) Guide to Assistive Technology in Public Schools: Building or Improving Your District’s AT Team published by the International Society on Technology in Education (ISTE). Chris works with ISTE as an online mentor for others interested in furthering their knowledge of assistive technology and Universal Design for Learning. Chris presents at a variety of local, regional, state, and national conferences and is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Chris is also the co-producer and co-author of the popular Night Light Stories podcast (http://nightlightstories.net) which features original stories for children of all ages.
