Janet's determination & drive to bring fresh locally grown produce into Long Island schools has benefited hundreds of students this past school year. Janet is a pioneer who, many years ago, had a vision to connect the local farmers to the school lunch program. Janet drove it home to the children this year, and so many of us are thankful for her consistent and continued effort to make this all happen. A well deserved nomination!
